We are seeking an energetic Safety and Training Manager to join our dynamic, fast growing Janitorial/Facilities Management Organization. Acceptable candidate must have good communication skills and be detail oriented. The ability to quickly and thoroughly complete tasks, respond to emergency situations and follow safety protocols is essential in this role.


- Assisting the Director of Safety and Training by facilitating training sessions for employees and participating in start-ups of new customer accounts and building transitions.

- Conduct safety and quality assurance inspections.

- Develop and enforce janitorial standard operating procedures.

- Knowledge of OSHA (General Industry) Standards and execution of regulatory training such as blood-borne pathogens, LOTO, GHS, PPE.

- Conduct accident and incident investigations and application of corrective action plans.

- Identify safe and best practices for work methods related to janitorial job functions. - Conduct safety audits, hazard assessments, and job hazard analysis (JHAs).

- Execute training programs for new and current employees. This includes safety and janitorial services functions. (e.g. how to operate cleaning equipment, green cleaning, PPE, etc.) - Assist with supervisory train-the-trainer programs and documentation.


  • Knowledge of Safety Procedures and compliance.
  • Completion of OSHA for the General Industry courses (OSHA 30-hour course completed at a minimum)/ Safety courses.
  • Must exhibit professionalism, excellent communication skills, ability to work with a diverse workforce, professional appearance and manner, high ethical standards.
  • Will drive company vehicle - must have clear driving record.
  • Work Schedule - Flexible
  • Travel – 80% of the time to various site in multiple states.
  • Evenings will be required. Must be flexible and able to work a minimum of 3 nights per week.
  • Occasional work on weekends may be required.

Experience: Two or more years in Janitorial, environmental services, and safety training experience. Experience in office buildings and/or large facilities is a plus.

Required: Bilingual (English / Spanish)

Must be able to pass extensive background check.
